The McKenzie team worked very hard to get a 30% raise over the 4-year contract. It took a lot of help and patience from all the facility nurses. Many nurses are also getting their correct pay step implemented over the 4-year contract so they can be on par with Riverbend. During the process, we witnessed how profit-driven the hospital has become. But with enough participation, we can keep working to ensure that everyday work as a nurse at McKenzie is satisfying: no matter if you are a veteran nurse or straight out of school.
